Personalized assistance in beautiful communities
Corn Heritage Village Communities of Care living options offer personalized assistance, supportive services and compassionate care in a professionally managed, carefully designed, community setting. It's the perfect alternative for seniors who can no longer live on their own at home.
Corn Heritage Village Communities of Care realize all residents require different levels of nursing care and our professional staff of nurses is well trained to give a wide variety of care. The Director of Nursing, a Registered Nurse, oversees a staff which gives 24 hour licensed care provided by Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Nurses Aides and Medication Aides at our communities are State certified, and give outstanding care to all our residents. All nursing care provided to residents is based on the resident’s own personal needs as directed by their personal physician. Skilled Nursing Care is available at both Corn Heritage Village Communities. We can provide(in addition to our normal services) I.V. Therapy, Wound Therapy, Pain Management Therapy, Diabetic Management, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy.
The Dietary Department prepares all resident meals according to their individual health needs. Our Communities participate in the Culture Change concept, which allows our dietary staff to take into account the resident’s individual food preferences, desires and choices at each meal. The Department takes pride in serving nutritious, great tasting food. From our soft serve ice-cream machine to a variety of special in-between meal snacks, dietary makes great efforts to make the residents happy. Our communities have a private dining area for family or friends that may come and want to dine with their loved ones.
Activities are planned and scheduled by both the Activities Director and the Social Services Director. Both give of their time and heart so that each resident can have the care and love they richly deserve. We have a variety of scheduled activities in our communities including exercise classes, morning coffee or tea, craft classes, scenic van rides, rhythm band, dining out and monthly birthday parties. Also included are resident council meetings, cooking classes, attending community play events, special film showings, bingo, cheer cart shopping and current events.
Special events are highlighted at each Corn Heritage Village Community, as well as visitations for bed residents and evening devotionals in the Lobby. Throughout the year, several different organizations and groups come to each facility to give special entertainment and parties for residents and family members are always welcome to attend. Our Social Services Directors personally welcome each new resident, helping them become acquainted with their new surroundings, and keeps in touch with family members as to the personal and emotional needs of the residents. This process does not end with the arrival of a new resident, but continues through their stay.
